In the foreground are the New Change Buildings, “an office complex at the heart of the City, built at a time of great innovation, [which] managed to ignore all notions of modernism, of lightness and of structural honesty”. It was demolished two years ago and is currently a large building site.
In the background, to the left, you can see the Route 11 / London Wall office tower cluster, including Royex House (since demolished) and City Tower (since reclad).
This is almost certainly taken from the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral, so it should be possible to more or less recreate this shot (although you’d be unlikely to get the same amount of visible smog now, and you’ll have to wait until midwinter to get the same lighting conditions when the dome’s publicly accessible.](http://25.media.tumblr.com/rdI4dCBFkq8w92f8M4SCU2yRo1_500.jpg)
