Enviro 400s

headlessness just posted to Twitter about the Enviro 400s, which are one of the newer types of double decker bus in London. As a result, I thought I’d rescue this old Flickr comment from obscurity (with a couple of edits).

There’s lots of little things about them I can’t get on with, though. There’s the pointless single seat behind the driver; the staircase rails with a join halfway up that forces you to lift your hand; the upstairs front seat layout; that stupid semicircular window detail at the front: all are really small niggles but they build up. Once you’re settled they’re OK, I suppose, but I’m not a fan.
