I love that this company, whatever it was, sold itself not on sound or picture quality but on the staying power of its knobs. I guess knobs popping off left and right must have been a major issue.Also, English advertising is always wonderfully unassuming. An American ad would undoubtedly have said “Your knobs will never fall off again, we guarantee it!” rather than “In an ideal world your radios and televisions would only break infrequently”…
