Speaking of news and imagery, the BBC has been using portrait rather than landscape images on its (international) home page a lot recently. I like it. It gives more space for related stories (and audio and video links, which are actually useful here), without looking quite so over-the-top as its three-column spanning “important breaking news” template. Well done to whoever came up with the idea.
