the Standard Fiscal Latte

chat 16:56:14
  • indec: I hate sales pitches that describe a product as costing "less than a latte a day".
  • indec: I have yet to see the definition of the Standard Fiscal Latte anywhere.
  • blech: Is that the British Latte or the American?
  • indec: Well quite. And what /size/ British or American Latte?
  • indec: And does it have any funny syrups or other blandishments?
  • blech: Presumably you'd go for the default latte. Medium?
  • blech: Does the price of a latte vary even within a country?
  • indec: Well, it will between venues, at least.
  • indec: Unless they've all standardised on the Standard Fiscal Latte of course.
  • indec: And these messages have probably been written by ad execs, who probably have skewed perceptions of normalcy.
  • indec: Or are coked out of their heads.
