I first came across these works as part of the exhibition on Japanese prints in the era of Impressionism at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco last January. Rivière’s homage to Hokusai is as powerful despite featuring a technological icon rather of a natural feature.

I’ve had a copy since I was a child, so I thought I’d upload a few quick photos of some of the spreads in the book. Enjoy.
