In case you were wondering about the absence of posts here, I’ve been on holiday in San Francisco, and very good it was too.
Probably the pick of the museums and exhibitions I saw was the “Signs: Wordplay in Photography” show at the de Young, although the architecture of the new California Academy of Sciences building and two of the four entrants to the SECA Art Award were rather fine also.
It was also nice to say hello to old faces, match faces with nicks, and meet new people. In particular, thanks to Simon, Artur (and Paddy) for the floor, Kellan for being lynchpin of the Hanger One trip, Simon for driving and organising Flickreenos, and Yoz for services and beyond the service of Science for his trip to the Exploratorium.
Photos are still going up on Flickr, and I’ll try to expand on some of the bits of touristness here later. No promises, though.
