It’s too high. The sun. It’s too high up.
Midsummer, and it’s above 70º elevation. In London, it never really gets higher than 60º, and that for a couple of weeks. It’s been that high - at midday - since late April. Will be until August. At least it’s cool. Being surrounded on three sides by water nearer 10ºC than not does that. Still, it’s bright. So bright. So high. At least, until the blessed fog rolls in. Last week, though? So bright.
